FINAL 2008-2011 STATEWIDE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
Wing and community outreach stages of the following projects: ODOT Project Key No.
12834, 'US30: (Lower) Columbia River Hwy @ Van Street, and Clatskanie River Bridge,
Bridge #07519, Clatskanie River, Hwy 2W, Bundle 415.
General Comments:
• Deborah Hazen, Clatskanie Chief: Very appreciative of plans for the turn lane and widening
of Clatskanie River Bridge on east end of town.
• Ruth Mustola & Vic Leno: Ped zing with signal on U.S. 30 prior to River Bend Mobile --
Home Park. Dangerous area to cross street. 37 trailers 4-5 RV's some transient. Petition
sent -Michael Ronkin?
E-Mail Comments Received:
• Kris Lillich: This citizen expressed issue with ODOT due to a meeting that was held a few
years ago where Clatskanie's livability, pedestrian safety and commerce was promoted but
not followed through on. Complaint is made referencing an ODOT design problem for creat-
ing the two lanes to four within the City. Apparently truckers use the four lanes to pass
"slow pokes" at higher than posted speed limitations. This citizen also has issue with statis-
tics, rules and regulations not being responsive to human health and welfare.
GRESHAM, November 9, 2006
41 attendees
Letters Received:
• Susan Corwin, President, Barlow Trail Association: Letters urging strong support for Trans-
portation Enhancement Project #54, US26: Brightwood-Rhododendron Ped Facility &
Streetscape are offered from the following: Villages at Mt Hood Board of Directors (an ad-
visoryboard to the Clackamas County Commissioners); Oregon State Representative Patti
Smith, 52nd District; Clackamas County Commission -Bill Kennemer; Mt.
