Survey of Tenants in Redevelopment Area August 15, 2007 Page 4

- spaces around us, small entertainment district, one stop parking, meal, beer, pool, a
bourbon street thing. If you move one entity, loose the gestalt of the operation.
3. IF THE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT OCCURS, WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN
LOCATING IN THE PROJECT?
Yes: 77.8%
No: 22.2%
Space for comments was provided. Comments fell into three categories: Yes, Maybe, No.
Yes
• Would be willing to find the money to buy in so that can be located downtown in the new
space. Our [clients] are put at high risk in the current West Broadway configuration
Maybe
• It would of course depend on the circumstances. Such as, affordable rent, the right size
and shape of the area, and what if any restrictions would be placed upon the business.
• As long as it is affordable
• generally, but would need specifics. Depends on the parameters involved... hear various
things about the proposal, would need more concrete info.
• Only if parking is greatly improved and only if a fair amount of retail is within the plan.
• Depends on the cost
• Only if rent is affordable for anon-profit.
• Would like to see the options of spaces and business that would be available
• We want as much space as we have now at a reasonable rate so that we can continue our
business.
• The cost of rent and the ability to turn a profit are extremely important.
No
• Doubtful. Because of price per square foot and the fact that we need so much space for
the warehouse, show rooms and vehicles. 2-2.50 per sq. ft. just wouldn't make sense for
our business. However, we would leave all options open.
• We would have to move and then move back, we wouldn't have the configuration we
would want, and the price would be too much.
• It is a very unrealistic question. How can we shut down what we do for two years and
start-up again? Do we simply stop the lives of everyone involved? We would need to
relocate. If we could survive and thrive in the new location, why would we move again?
• As configured, no local businesses will be able to afford the rent.
_ ~ ~ ~ ~ 1
