Project Description:
City cost participation in public improvements constructed in private developments under the City's Construction Permit process.
Justification:
In many cases, it is necessary for a development to oversize or deepen sewers, drainage and/or streets beyond a size necessary to serve the development in
order to serve adjacent neighborhoods. Such increases in capacity are paid by the City under Council adopted participation policies.
Relation to Plans:
City participation in private developments is guided by Resolution #90-35 and Resolution #70-45.
Maintenance Impacts:
Maintenance impacts are dependent on the individual projects funded. Often this funding is used to upsize a sewer or storm drainage line and sometimes to
improve a street's structure and length and the maintenance impacts are minimal
