Assessment Worksheet for City of Eugene Environmental<Review Project <br />This Assessment Worksheet assumes the following key definitions for information contained herein: <br />Function or Process Major functions or processes conducted by the City of Eugene within which <br />ad9vitles are determined and managed. Examples include: Airport; Fire and <br />Emergency Management Service; Wastewater; Facilities Management; <br />Environmental Projects. <br />Operations or Facility Specific operations and facilities under which specific activities are <br />conducted by the City of Eugene. Examples include: wastewater <br />treatment plant; Hult Center; street maintenance and sanitation; traffic <br />engineering; turf and grounds maintenance. <br />Activity Specific activities conducted by the City of Eugene under each <br />operations or facility. Examples include: hydrant flushing; wastewater <br />plant discharge; street sweeping; pesticide application; vehicle <br />cleaning and maintenance. <br />Number of locations The approximate number of locations where a specific activity is <br />conducted across the City of Eugene. <br />Frequency The frequency-of-occurrence of the activity. That is, daily, weekly, <br /> monthly, yearly, accidental. <br />Duration The approximate duration of time of the activity during an occurrence. <br />Seasons The seasons or portion of the year during which the activities occur. <br />Effect The type of environmental or habitat effect that may result from the <br /> specific activity. Examples include: power consumption; solid waste <br /> generation; water flow variations; contaminants or toxics; riparian <br /> habitat alterations; air quality alterations. The various types of factors considered in this <br /> Worksheet are listed in the Standard Categories List tab. <br />Overall Effects Class Different classes of potential effects of an activity on the overall natural <br /> environment. These classes aide in categorizing and prioritizing activities <br /> according to the activity's potential to negatively or positively affect the <br /> environment. The classes used in this Worksheet are defined and listed <br /> in the Rating Factors tab. <br />Habitat Effects Class Different classes of potential effects of ah activity on habitats. These <br /> classes aide in categorizing and prioritizing activities according to the <br /> activity's potential to negatively or positively affect habitat, particularly <br /> those of potential importance to ESA-listed species. The classes used in <br /> this Worksheet are defined and listed in the Rating Factors tab. <br />ESA Relevance Category Different categories of potential relevance of an activity to ESA-listed <br />species based on estimated effects to habitats and. potential use of <br />these habitats by ESA-listed species. These categories aide in <br />categorizing and prioritizing activities of potential importance to ESA- <br />listed species.
