April 21, 2005 <br />To: Eugene Budget Committee <br />From: Kitty Murdoch <br />Subject: FY06 Budget Documents and Other Items in the Packet <br />This packet contains your FY06 Proposed Budget document and a compact disc of the budget proposal. <br />The document is posted on the website and copies are available for public review at the.Dowritown <br />Library, the branch libraries, the City Manager's Office, and the Permit and Information Center. On <br />Monday night, you will receive a separate copy of the small bound Budget Summary. All the information <br />in that document is contained in the big book in the Budget MessageBudget Summary tab..Copies of the <br />City Manager's Budget Presentation and the Capital Budget Presentation will also be distributed to you <br />on Monday night. <br />Please note from the meeting agenda that the Apri125 Budget Committee meeting is being held in the. <br />Council Chamber of City Hall and that the meeting adjourns at 7:20 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., the City Council <br />will be holding a public hearing on the PERF/ICMA recommendations for the Eugene Police Department. <br />The reports are available on the City's website: www.ci.eugene:or.us . You are very welcome to stay for <br />this public hearing, but staff will need to remove materials from the tables quickly to set up for it. <br />This packet also contains the Budget Committee Spring Schedule and the suggested FY06 Budget <br />Review Process which will be discussed on May 2. <br />In addition to the budget document, I am enclosing a pamphlet on Open Meetings Law which has been <br />developed by Open Oregon, copies of the Public Works Department's Annual Report and Work Plan, and <br />the 2004 Facilities Condition Report from the Facilities Division. This latter report will be referenced <br />during the Capital Budget Presentation on Monday night. <br />The draft minutes from your February 22, 2005 meeting are included for your review. Since time is <br />limited on April 25, the minutes will not be approved until your meeting on May 2. Please send any edits <br />to me by noon on May 2, so I may include them on a list of changes that will be distributed at the meeting . <br />that evening.
