Untreated runoff: Contaminated stormwater runoffdue to construction activities that <br />has not been filtered, screened, settled, or otherwise treated for the removal of pollutants, <br />prior to discharge into the City's stormwater system; designated buffers, or Related Natural <br />Resource Areas. <br />Water features. Permanent or intermittent bodies ofwater, including creeks, streams, <br />ponds, rivers; lakes, Related Natural Resource Areas, drainage channels and jurisdictional <br />wetlands. <br />Vegetative buffer. A strip of protected land not less than 25 feet in width separating <br />ground disturbed by construction activity from a water feature, related natural resowce area, <br />or a property lme, whichever is nearest, containing vegetation at least 1 inch in height that <br />covers at least 80%`of the buffer area. The buffer area must be on the site covered by the <br />~pernut or be reserved forsuch use in writing by the property owner. <br />Visl~ble or measurable erosion. Evidence of concentrated flows of water over bare <br />soils, turbid or sediment laden flows, or evidence of on site erosion such as rivulets on bare <br />soil slopes where the flow ofwater is not filtered or captured on thesite using the techniques <br />recommended m the City's ErosionPreventionano Construction Site Management Practices <br />Manual or an approved Construction Site Management Plan, or compazable techniques; and, <br />earth slides, mud flows, earth sloughing, or other earth movement which leaves the property. <br />Wetlands. Any pazcel or portion ofa parcel which meets the state or federal definition <br />of wetlands that aze under the jurisdiction of state or' federal laws. Synonymous with <br />jurisdictional wetlands. <br />Wet weather season: October 15 through Apri130, unless otherwise designated by <br />the City Engineer.. <br />R-6.645-C Auulicability: <br />1.
