AIRPORT ORGANIZATION <br />Mahlon Sweet Field is owned by the City of Eugene and is operated under <br />the following policy. <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />~~ The City Council. of the City of Eugene is responsible to the citizens <br />~` of Eugene for the operation of Mahlon Sweet Field. 'f hey have the final <br />responsibility .for all decisions regarding financing, long range planning <br />and establishing policy. <br />AIRPORT COMMISSION <br />The Airport Commission acts in the capacity of an advisory body to the <br />City Council and makes recommendations as outlined as the "Duties of the . <br />Airport Commission". <br />4 <br />CITY MANAGER <br />_ The City Manager is responsible to the City Council for the operation and <br />maintenance of Mahlon Sweet Field. The Airport Manager <br />is the administrative officer of Mahlon w t <br />S ee Fiels.and <br />i r <br />s es onsib <br />le to <br />P <br />the City Manager for such administration. The Airport Manager shall have <br />the authority to take such action as may be necessary for the protection <br />end safeguarding of the public while present at the Airport and for regula- <br />ing traffic on the Airport. The Airport Manager may suspend,or restrict <br />any or ail operations deemed necessary in the interest of safety. These <br />actions may be subject to the reveiw of the City Manager, Airport Commission <br />and the City Council. <br />-1- <br />
