Mahlon Sweet Field is owned and operated by the City of Eugene, a <br />municipal corporation, organized undf~r the statutory authority of <br />the State of Oregon. <br />2. .,The City of Eugene assumes no responsibility for loss, injury, or <br />damage to persons or property by reasons of fire, theft, vandalism, <br />wind, flood, earthquakes, or collision. <br />3. These rules govern the conduct of persons at Mahlon Sweet Field, and <br />~~ persons operating aircraft wi.thi.n the Mahlon Sweet Field traffic pattern. <br />:F~~ <br />-,~~~ <br />4. In the absence of the Airport Manager, the City: Airport employees <br />~~! shall perform the Manager's duties. <br />SECTION I DEFINITIONS <br />1. City - The City of Eugene. <br />2. Airport - The land and facilities known as Mahlon Sweet Field. <br />3. Persons - "Person" me~~ns any individual, firm, co-partnership, company <br />ir; <br />~' corporation, association, joint. stock association, or body political, <br />and includes any trustees, receiver, assignee, or similar representative <br />thereof. <br />4. Aircraft - Contrivances used fox the navigation of air or space, including <br />airplanes, airships, dirigibles, helicopters, gliders, amphibians and <br />seaplanes. <br />S. Landing area - Aria of land, temporarily or permanently designated by <br />the City, for the. landing and take-off. of aircraft. <br />6. Apron Area - Area adjacent to the loading gates, hangars, or similar <br />structures used for the loading or unloading of passengers and cargo <br />to and from aircraft. <br />7. Aircraft parking and storage area - Area for the parking and storage <br />of aircraft. <br />8. Vehicular parking .area - The area designated for the parking of high- <br />way vehicles. <br />-5- <br />
