~ Sum these amounts, to derive a total cost per FEU for a specific type of
development;
~ Multiply the total cost per FEU for a development type by the number of FEUs for a
development application.
For more detailed and specific numerical data on FEU calculations, see Table 5. For
#ormula illustrations, see Figure 5 in this Appendix.
2.2.1 MWMC Process Wastewater '
The MWMC wastewater SDC for development that discharges process wastewater
to the wastewater system will be charged on the basis of the strength of that
.discharge. The rates per FEU for land uses listed in Attachment 4 of this Appendix
include process wastewater charges. For uses not otherwise listed in Attachment 4
that include process wastewater, the MWMC SDC will be calculated by combining
the charge for unit of development for general industrial uses, and adding the charge
for the process wastewater FEU that matches the strength of the proposed
discharge. The strength classes shown in Attachment 4 are the same strength
classes used by MWMC in the user fee system.
2.2.2 MWMC Wastewater SDCs For All New Development with Annual Average
Daily Flow Equal to or Greater than 100,000 Gallons, and for Existing Development
Increasing Flow by or Greaterthan 100,000 Gallons per Day
Before calculating the SDC for any development with an anticipated discharge of
100,000 gallons or more of sewage per day, the Executive Officer of the MWMC
(EO) shall examine the developments impact on the twenty yearschedule of capital
projects. If one or more capacity-increasing projects will move into the 5-year CIP
as a result of the development, the EO will establish new unit costs (based on the
total costs of the amended 5-year CIP) upon which SDCs for all development will be
calculated. If the MWMC wastewater SDC rate is modified, the modified fee will be
applied to the development that caused the need for the modification and to all
future development.
City of Eugene SDC Methodology Wastewater, Page C- 8
