21. Public drywells shall not be disturbed in any way without prior written consent of the <br />. ,i Inspector. If a public drywell is encountered during excavation, the permittee or permittee's <br />,• <br />contractor must immediately cease work in the area of the drywell. Any disturbance or <br />damage to a public drywell must be reported immediately to the Inspector and re- <br />pair/replacement shall be the responsibility of the permittee. <br />22 Underground utilities installed in the public way in, or immediately adjacent to wetlands <br />shall incorporate CDF baffles or other approved material in the trench to help prevent <br />inadvertent drainage of these wetlands. <br />Where the Inspector requires abicycle/wheelchair ramp to be constructed under ORS 447.310 <br />guidelines and where the existing sidewalk and/or bicycle/wheelchair ramp has extensive existing <br />damage, the permittee may request the City to participate in the expense of constructing the new <br />ramp. The permittee must request the Inspector to meet with the permittee at the location of the <br />proposed work to evaluate the existing City sidewalk/ramp prior to the commencement of any work. <br />If, in the judgement of the Inspector, the existing sidewalk/ramp has extensive existing damage or <br />represents a hazard under the sidewalk policy inspection criteria, the City will reimburse the <br />permittee. for only the materials cost of the portland cement concrete placed. <br />3.B.1 Portland Cement Concrete Streets, Alleys and Driveways <br />In addition to general requirements 1 through 20 given above, work within Portland Cement <br />Concrete (P.C.C.) streets and alleys shall conform to the following requirements: <br />Minimum width of pavement cuts in P.C.C. streets and alleys shall be three (3) feet. Unless <br />otherwise approved, replacement. of the full panels affected shall be required on sidewalks <br />and driveways. <br />2. P.C.C. inutility trench patches shall be placed to a depth matching the existing pavement or <br />seven (7) inches, whichever is greater. Where the existing pavement is P.C.C. over Cement <br />Treated Base (C.T.B.) or Asphalt Treated Base (A.T.B.), replacement depth shall be the <br />combined depth of the P.C.C. and C.T.B. or A.T.B. <br />3. Where the replacement P.C:C. on the outside edge of an alley abuts A.C. a minimum of 24 <br />inches of A.C. shall be removed to allow sufficient room for the placement of the alley <br />concrete forms and proper compaction of asphalt restoration. Where the alley outside edge <br />abutting material is P.C.C., a full length expansion joint shall be placed. <br />4. Steel reinforcement which is required to be used in all P.C.C. street, alley and driveway <br />utility trench patches shall be No. 4 bar twenty-four (24) inches on center in both the longitu- <br />dinal and traverse directions. A minimum of two parallel bars in each direction shall be <br />used.
