OYCC has responsibility for implementing ORS 418.650 through 418.663, the general purposes of <br /> which are: <br /> (1) To establish a disadvantaged and at-risk youth work program in order to perform <br /> conservation work-ofpublic-value-in the--most -cost=effective manner; - <br /> (2) To utilize such a program as a means of needed assistance to protect, conserve, rehabilitate <br /> and improve the natural, historical and cultural resources of the state; and <br /> (3) To utilize such a program to increase educational, training and employment opportunities for <br /> disadvantaged and at-risk youth for the purpose of improving work skills, instilling a work <br /> ethic and increasing employability. <br /> B. GRANTEE has applied for an OYCC grant to perform the project(s) set out in their proposals <br /> submitted for funding Conservation Corps projects and approved by the Conservation Corps <br /> Selection Committee (with approved amendments) on April 14, 2000. <br /> <br />
