The Performance and Development Manager works with the <br /> nd establish <br /> Human Resources Advisory Board to review the curriculum a <br /> mandatory training requirements for all employees and supervisors/managers <br /> aligned to the current priorities of the organization. This board is made up of <br /> representatives from all departments. Public Works currently has three manager <br /> representatives on the board: <br /> Other methods for establishing training goals are through meetings directly with the <br /> departments. In 2001, the Performance and .Development Manager met with the <br /> Public Works management team to assist in prioritizing supervisor and manager <br /> training priorities based on supervisor competencies. This department feedback <br /> created the priority list for training to be offered or developed in the following year. <br /> This is done periodically with the departments to refocus training priorities. <br /> Central HR and Public Works HR work with supervisors and managers to ensure <br /> employees attend required classes. Internal instructors deliver most required <br /> training but contractors, video training, satellite training, and individual study are all <br /> methods used in appropriate circumstances.
