Employees are responsible for initiating and completing their plans. If you have not identified <br /> your career goals, you may want to first complete the Career Assessment Guide. If you are currently unsure of your medium-range and long-range goals, you may submit a plan <br /> with only your short-range goals completed (see sample below). When you are ready to update <br /> your plan, you can includde your medium-range and long-range goals at that time. <br /> 3. Review your plan with your supervisor and submit the original with your supervisor's signature <br /> (acknowledgment of review) to HRRS/Recruitment & Selection. Keep one copy for your <br /> records and give one copy to your supervisor. You are encouraged to review/update your plan <br /> with your supervisor annually or at the time of your performance evaluation. Employees must <br /> pass probation prior to imtiatmg their plans. <br /> 4. Employees have a responsibility to update their plans annually. Updated plans should be <br /> discussed with your supervisor and a copy should be forwarded to HRRS. <br /> Short-range Goals (1-2 years-Training/Education/ExperienceJPosition): <br /> 1. May be a specific training goal such as increasing word processing skills, increasing suppervisory skills, increasmg <br /> presentation skills, or learning to operate specific pieces of equipment. May also include an educational goal such as <br /> completing a certificate program, atwo-year degree, a bachelor's degree, or a master's degree. <br /> 2. May include specific experience such as an AIC assignment and/or a Career Development Assignment. May include a <br /> patticulaz position you would like to attain such as Maintenance Worker II, Administrative Aide III, Reference <br /> Assistant, Lead Custodian, or Accountant L <br /> Steps to Achieve Goal Date Accomplished <br /> 1. Maybe ssppeeccific training offered the Coordinated Training Program such as 6/99 (include dates when <br /> WordPerfect, Excel, Meeting S s, or Leadership Skills. plan is updated) <br /> 2.
