Human Resource & Risk Services <br />WORK • PLAN • 2004 <br />RISK• SERVICES <br />Employee •Nealth • Qc • Benefits <br />• Management of the City's self-insured health plan. <br />• Administration of the Health and Fitness program, including Health Risk Appraisals (HRA), health and wellness training, <br />individualized exercise programs, ergonomic consultations, rehabilitation of injured workers, and pre-employment and job- <br />related fitness testing. , <br />• Provide consultation and advice to supervisors and employees regarding complex benefits issues such as long-term <br />disability. <br />• Conduct employee and supervisory training on benefits-related topics. <br />• Policy and benefits development through the Benefits Study Group and the collective bargaining process. <br />• Administration of vacation and leave policies, including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). <br />• Maintain knowledge of State and Federal laws, administrative rules, and legal cases related to employee benefits to <br />ensure City policies, procedures, and practices are in compliance.
