The City agrees to otter extra hours of work available in the employee's <br /> classification and division to regular part-time employees when feasible, <br /> especially when the need is known in advance so scheduling can be worked <br /> out efficiently. Part-time employees desiring extra hours shall be obligated <br /> to provide written notice specifying when they will be available to their <br /> supervisor. Whenever it is operationally feasible, the supervisor will post <br /> the blocks of time available and assign them to those who have expressed an <br /> interest on a rotational basis. <br /> <br /> i <br /> 17.6 CODING PARTIAL HOURS WORKED <br /> Any partial hours worked by employees, including overtime, shall be <br /> rounded to the nearest tenth of an hour except as noted in Article 17.2.a. <br /> <br /> i <br /> 17.7 STANDBY <br /> a. Employees who are designated by the City to be on off-duty standby <br /> status and who are required to be accessible to the City by telephone <br /> or other telecommunications device shall receive a standby premium <br /> adjustment of one (1) hour straight time pay for each ten (10) hours <br /> designated to be on standby status. The one (1) hour straight time pay <br /> shall be prorated for employees who are designated to be on standby <br /> status for any hours less than ten (10). Employees shall not be <br /> designated to be on standby status for less than four (4) hours. <br /> Generally employees will not be required to be on standby more than <br /> fourteen (14) continuous days, unless there is a compelling business <br /> reason to do so. <br /> b. The standby pay will be in addition to any callback pay for which an <br /> employee is entitled under this Agreement. <br /> c. Standby pay will be given for the actual off-duty hours designated as <br /> standb includin assi ed standb durin lunch eriods but will <br /> Y g ~ Y g p <br /> not include any time that the employee is working overtime <br /> contiguous with their work shift. <br /> 17.8 CALLBACK <br /> In instances of emergency callback, two (2) hours of overtime will be <br /> guaranteed. <br /> 17.9 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL <br /> a. Effective September 23, 2001, employees who have a regular work <br /> schedule where the majority of the hours (one-half (1/2) or more of the <br /> scheduled hours) worked are between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. will receive a <br /> shift differential of seventy-five cents (75¢) per hour for all hours worked in <br /> _ _ _ <br /> <br />
