The classification manual contains a general description of <br /> the job duties and corresponding knowledge, skills, and abilities required by each <br /> job classification. Employees should be familiar with their classification <br /> description. <br /> The City maintains a pay range for each job classification. These ranges and <br /> the classes assigned to them are reviewed and adjusted periodically. <br /> 3-520 New Positions (Revised 09/16/02) <br /> Departments can request new positions by submitting a Position Adjustment <br /> Request (PAR) form to the Budget Office during the budget process. After funds <br /> have been approved fora new position, HRRS evaluates the position description <br /> and recommends a job classification.
