City of Eugene <br /> Human Resource and Risk Services Policies <br /> 3-160 ORIENTATION OF NEW EMPLOYEES <br /> ° 3-161 Department Orientation (Revised 06/07/99) <br /> Hiring departments are responsible for providing a departmental orientation on <br /> the day employees begin work. <br /> <br /> i <br /> 3-162 City New Employee Orientation (Revised 06/07/99) <br /> A monthly new employee orientation is scheduled by Human Resource and Risk <br /> Services. This orientation covers the Employee Handbook and other City <br /> policies including Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action, risk <br /> management, compensation and benefits, a City video presentation, and an <br /> introduction to the workplace values held by the City. The City Manager attends <br /> the orientation session to welcome new employees. Upon completion of this <br /> orientation, new employees sign the City's orientation checklist. <br /> Regular employees and limited duration employees must attend new employee <br /> orientation.
