The <br /> design will be in conformance with the COE standards for privately engineered public <br /> improvement (PEPI) projects. <br /> CONTRACTING FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF THE WORK: <br /> 4J has contracted with Chambers Construction Company (CCC) to act as construction <br /> managers/general contractors for the Work. Based on an approved design, CCC wiiF <br /> competitively bid' the Work. Based on the- lowest responsive bid, a change order establishing <br /> a price agreement for the Work wi(i be executed with CCC. <br /> COE -Standard Contract Provisions: <br /> 1. 4J will include provision 1 -Fair Employment Practice Provisions <br /> (Eugene Code, 1971, Section 4.625) and provision 7 -Labor Contract <br /> Conditions (Eugene Code, 1971, Section 2.030) of the City of Eugene - <br /> Standard Contract Provisions in the subcontract for the Work. <br /> 2. 4J will include a clause in the subcontract for the Work that grants the <br /> City of Eugene the authority to monitor and enforce provisions 1 and 7 of <br /> the City of Eugene -Standard Contract Provisions. <br /> Bondinca: <br /> A bid bond and performance bond covering this Work will be provided by CCC. <br /> PROJECT MANAGEMENT: <br /> 4J will provide project management for the Work: 1) Bring BHE under contract for the <br /> design; 2) Bring CCC under contract for the Work; 3) Oversee the design and construction; <br /> 4) Process BHE's and CCC's payment requests; 5) Coordinate with COE and FCC with regard <br /> to the progress of the Work and COE's and FCC's payments to CCC; 6) Request County <br /> funds on a percentage of design and Work complete basis and make payment to CCC on the <br /> same basis.
