7. FEDERAL AND STATE LAWS. In acting under its rights and <br /> obligations, the City agrees to comply with all applicable Federal <br /> and State laws and re ulations inclu in <br /> d but not limited to the <br /> g g <br /> provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act (40 USC 327-333); and Part 3 of <br /> Title 29, Code of Federal Regulations. The City shall also comply <br /> with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 241, 42 USC <br /> <br /> .j <br /> 2000d, et seq) and Department of Defense Directive 5500.11 issued <br /> pursuant thereto and published in Part 300 of Title 32, Code of <br /> Federal Regulations. <br /> i <br /> ~j 8. OFFICIALS NOT TO BENEFIT No member of or delegate to the <br /> Congress, or Resident Commissioner, shall be admitted to any share <br /> or part of this Cooperative Agreement, or to any benefit that may <br /> arise therefrom; but this provision shall not be construed to extend <br /> to this Cooperative Agreement if made with a corporation for its <br /> _ general benefit . <br /> 9. COVENANT AGAINST CONTINGENT FEE S The City warrants that no <br /> erson or sellin a enc has been em to ed or retained to solicit or <br /> P g g Y P Y <br /> secure this Cooperative agreement upon agreement or understanding <br /> for a commission, percentage, brokerage, or contingent fee, <br /> excepting bona fide established commercial or selling agencies <br /> maintained by the State for the purpose of securing business. For <br /> ' breach or violation of this warranty, the vovernment shall have the <br /> right to annul this Cooperative Agreement price or consideration, or <br /> otherwise recover, the full amount of such commission, percentage, <br /> or contingent fee. <br /> 10. RELEASE OF CLAIMS The City shall hold and save the <br /> Government free from damages caused by the actions or omissions of <br /> City employees, contractors, or agents.
