If NOT applying for a grant under the Small Grants Policy*, as a minimum, an effective <br /> narrative/workplan will: <br /> t <br /> -List expected outputs; <br /> Ii, -Quantify outputs; <br /> -Link outputs to funding; <br /> i, <br /> - Identify target dates and milestones; <br /> -Require periodic reporting; and <br /> 'i -Explain how the activities will be accomplished. <br /> In addition, if the proposal is for a Continuing Environmental Program the workplan must: <br /> I <br /> -Specify work years and amount and source of funds; <br /> - Identif the a enc res nsible for each of the ou uts• and <br /> tp <br /> Y g Y Po <br /> . -Discuss performance to date under the existing award. <br /> If required by the program, the workplan should also contain a biographical sketch(es) of the <br /> Key Person(s). <br /> <br /> j 3. -Budget Narrative (not applicable to Small Grant* applicants) <br /> As an attachment to SF-424A, Section B, Budget Categories, all applicants must provide <br /> documentation to support the amounts estimated in each of the object class categories. Superfund <br /> --a licants must include this information for each"site, activit or o " ralile unit. Other ro rams <br /> PP Y~ Pe P g <br /> may <br /> require <br /> separate documentation for each <br /> projec- t uz~er t e agreement: ~i~~___~.___._________._~__.._____~.__. <br /> Personnel. Identify staff-positions by title, salary, percentage of time or hours that each <br /> person will work on this grant project or Superfund site, activity, or operable unit. <br /> Fringe Benefits. Identify total fr-inge benefit costs unless treated-as part of an indirect rate. <br /> Provide a breakdown of amounts that comprise the costs, such as health insurance, FICA, or <br /> - retirement plans. If fringe benefits are determined by applying a: percentage to personnel <br /> ' -_---.-._co- st,--state--the--percentage-and- -show-the-calculation.--- <br /> - - <br /> Travel. Identify the esrirriatcd-numi?cr, duration, and-purpose-oftrips-gla~ed, e:g:_ <br /> inspection, monitoring, attendance at meetings or conferences. For each trip include <br /> estimates for mileage, air fare,.per diem, and any other costs. If the estimated travel costs <br /> were calculated using a different method, such as a fixed dollar amount per FTE, identify the <br /> method and basis for the estimates. <br /> Equipment. List each item of equipment which will be purchased by make, model, and cost <br /> (if known). EPA regulations define equipment as tangible, nonexpendable, personal <br /> property having a useful life of more than one year and an acquisition cost of $5,000 or more <br /> per unit. <br /> In addition to the reyuirements governing the acquisition of equipment under all assistance <br /> agreements, 40 CFR Part 35, Subpart O places additional requirements upon Superfund <br /> assistance agreement recipients.
