The revenue account is required to specifically identify the proceeds received from <br /> the grantor. The grant(Sub-Cls) number is needed to account for expenditures chargeable against the grant. An activity(Prog/Grt) <br /> number may also be assigned, when the grant requires matching funds, or when programs/project costs will include costs not <br /> chargeable to the grant.
