The task order was prepared in accordance with- <br /> the Cooperative Agreement Amendment No 1, dated 28 September, 2002 between the U.S. Army Corps <br /> of Engineers and theMCity of Eugene for the collection of native plant materials for the and. construction of <br /> recreation facilities ~ Amazon Creek Section 1135 Project. <br /> ~ . , <br /> Under the task order, the city may use its specialized expertise, staffand facilities to contract for <br /> propagation, grow-o~lt aad planting of native wet prairie plant materials required... for the project. The <br /> Corps ages to reimburse the City for the cost of the work, estimated at $43,000. This work is to be <br /> accomplished during~the remainder of Federal Fiscal Year 2003. <br /> t <br /> We do anticipate we will generate at least two additional. task orders this fiscal year to cover <br /> additional tasks notedressed by this one. Task Order 03-2 will cover additional wetland restoration <br /> tasks, including pro ding and planting native seeds,,and providing technical support to the invasive <br /> species control contr~lct that the Corps will award later this winter. Task Order 03-3 will cover any <br /> additional funds regtlbred to cover the Corps' share of recreation facilities at the project area. The Corps <br /> is currently operatin under a continuing budget resolution and has limited funds.
