Appendix A <br /> CITY and EWER OBLIGATIONS <br /> Adjustment of EWER Facilities on City of Eugene Construction Projects <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> EWEB OBLIGATIONS: <br /> EWEB will identify quantity and locations of facilities to be lowered and/or adjusted. This <br /> information will be provided at the time of design review and annotated on the review drawings. <br /> EW EB will provide a specification for the work to lower and/or adjust their facilities, to be bound <br /> into the City Special Specifications for each project. <br /> EWEB will provide, at no cost to the City or the City's contractor, all valve boxes and risers <br /> required to perform the work to lower and/or adjust their facilities. <br /> EWEB will review the Contractor qualifications and unit price bid by the City's Contractor to lower. <br /> and/or adjust EWEB facilities. EWEB will provide to the City written notification of acceptance or <br /> rejection of qualifications and price. If EWEB rejects the price or qualifications EWER will <br /> provide an acceptable method to conduct the work. <br /> EWEB will pay to the City, for work performed, the price bid for performance of the work to lower <br /> andlor adjust their facilities, plus any associated change order costs EWEB has agreed to. <br /> An EWER representative will attend preconstruction meetings and a meeting at the project site <br /> prior to performance of the work to lower and/or adjust their facilities, to provide to the City's <br /> contractor any clarification requested or deemed by EWEB to be necessary. <br /> EWEB will be solely responsible to inspect the work, at EWEB's discretion, for conformance with <br /> the specification provided. <br /> <br /> An EWEB representative will answer the City's Contractor's questions and provide clarification to <br /> the Contactor as requested. <br /> EWEB will not direct the Contractor to perform any work outside of the specifications. <br /> EWEB will notify the City if any work is required on EWEB facilities, that are outside the scope of <br /> <br /> the. construction contract, and participate in the negotiation of any change order required to <br /> include such work in the project. <br /> EWEB will not direct the City's contractor, inspect the work without the City inspector's <br /> knowledge, or converse or provide clarification to the Contractor unless in the presence of the <br /> City inspector, unless agreed to otherwise with the Engineer. <br /> <br />
