HAA031M00 <br /> <br /> ~ STATEMENT OF WORK <br /> Task Order No. HAF041M03 <br /> 1.0 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> The City of Eugene will conduct plant grow-out, weed control, weed mapping, hazardous fuel <br /> reduction, wetland maintenance, and restoration work on various west Eugene wetland parcels. <br /> The work will involve multiple specific tasks, including, but not limited to, the following: (a) <br /> mowing, (b) solarization, (c) hand weeding, (d) weed mapping, (e) native plant propagation, (f) <br /> trail and fence maintenance, and (g) supervision of youth corps crews from Lane Metro Youth <br /> Corps and Northwest Youth Corps. <br /> 1.1 ACCESS/LOCATION <br /> All work areas will be at Government-approved sites. Access to sites is via all-weather roads. All <br /> sites are located in the West Eugene Wetlands of the Eugene District BLM. Other sites maybe <br /> identified at a later date. Sites are located on varied terrain from steep to gentle slopes with various <br /> distances so that the tools will need to be packed in from the roads. <br /> 1.2 WORK HOURS <br /> Work hours, start/stop times for noise-making activities (power equipment maybe operated) will <br /> be between two (2) hours after sunrise until (1) hour before sunset. <br /> 1.3 SITE SECURITY <br /> City personnel fulfilling the requirements of this Task Order can stage work based out the BLM <br /> facility at 751 South Danebo, Eugene, Oregon and use some BLM equipment. City personnel will <br /> be responsible to secure all tools on site in storage space provided. Staff will also be responsible to <br /> lock buildings if they are the last person leaving the office at the end of the work day. <br /> 1.4 FIRE PRECAUTIONS <br /> All state fire laws will be followed. Specific requirements for fire equipment may vary by local <br /> fire district. The city of Eugene is required to check with local fire districts and furnish any <br /> equipment required by those districts: <br /> 2.0 DEFINITIONS <br /> None. <br /> 3.0 COOPERATOR-FURNISHED ITEMS <br /> Cooperator is required to furnish any tools or equipment necessary to complete the tasks identified, <br /> other than the few offered by the BLM, including hand-held GPS mapping equipment. <br /> <br />
