The Eastgate Woodlands does not <br /> share the same history of land use impacts-as the former.landfill area,: Thus, its riparian <br /> forest has been left more intact and healthy, ~as evidenced by. an active-heron rQOkery. By . <br /> enhancing the riparian area in the Eugene portion of the pails; a continuous healthy riparian <br /> - ~ forest can span the tiro cities; conriecting..remnant-portions of forests; anti increasing habitat - <br /> values for a variety of fish and wildlife.
