The Task <br /> Order was preparec~n accordance with the Cooperative Agreement Amendment No. 1, dated <br /> <br /> i September 28, 2001, between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, and the City <br /> of Eugene for the collection of native plant materials for the construction of recreation facilities at <br /> Amazon Creek Section 1135 Project. <br /> Under the Cooperative Agreement, the City of Eugene may construct recreation facilities <br /> associated with the Project. • The Corps of Engineers agrees to reimburse the City of Eugene for <br /> the Federal share of costs. In summary, the City Eugene and the Corps of Engineers will share <br /> the total costs for planning, design, engineering and construction of the recreation facilities.. The <br /> currently estimated total project cost is approximately $1,200,000. The Federal share for ~ ~ ~ .}t~ d0 . <br /> recreation facilities, however, is capped at 10 percent of the Federal share for the a stem <br /> restoration costs of the Section 1135 project, currently estimated at $410,900. o date, the Corps <br /> of Engineers has expended approximately $184,000 for planning, engineering and design of <br /> recreation facilities. Therefore, a maximum of $226,900 is available for reimbursement of - <br /> recreation facilities construction costs.
