Description of Item: <br /> Additional appropriation authority is needed to fund the costs associated with the <br /> construction of Helipad 2. The Helipad 2 project includes the reconstruction of a smaller <br /> existing asphalt pad with a new and larger 100'x150' concrete pad for helicopter operations. The <br /> reconstruction will improve safety by closing Helipad 4, which is located nearby but serves as the <br /> vehicular access to FAA and airport facilities. It will also reduce on-going Airport maintenance <br /> costs by replacing an older asphalt facility with concrete.
