The Contractor is required to <br />water and maintain them in an upright and plumb condition, <br />Revise} 0~ 040.74 Corrective Work The City will monitor the Contractor's performance quality <br />under this contract, Daily inspections will be performed by the City's contract manager or <br />other designated representative of the City, Written notice of deficiencies will be given to <br />the Contractor as needed. If deficiencies persist, a performance evaluation meeting will be <br />held. If it is determined that scheduled work was not accomplished or was below standard, <br />Contractor shall correct all deficiencies within 5 working days of receiving notice. After this <br />period, the City sha[I not pay for uncorrected or uncorrectable deficiencies in materials or <br />work. <br />(Delete) 01040.75 Weed Control <br />(Delete) 01040.77 Plant Establishment (Ornamental Areas') <br />Revise} 0~ 040.15 Plant Establishment Mitigation or ether Non-Ornamental Areas} <br />~a} Watering. Plant material in the riparian and upland habitat zones shall be watered <br />from July through September 2009 and from July through September 2010, as described <br />below and outlined in Table 2, The Contractor may water at a greater frequency if needed <br />to maintain 80°/° survival. <br />~~ }Trees. All trees shall receive a minimum of 5 gallons of water every other week <br />between July 1 and September 30t", 2009 and July 1 and September 30~", 2010. In the <br />event of light or no precipitation for more than two weeks during the months of May, June <br />and October, the Contractor shall water trees as specified above, <br />~2y Shrubs. All shrubs in the upland and riparian habitat zones shall receive a minimum of <br />3 gallons of water every otherweek between July 1 and September 30t", 2009. From July <br />1 through September 30#", 2010 shrubs shall be watered once or twice throughout the <br />summer, as needed to ensure the SO% survival requirements. In the event of light or no <br />precipitation for more than three weeks during the months of May, June and October, the <br />Contractor shall water shrubs, as needed to ensure the 80% survival requirements. <br />~3~ Watering Method. Watering may be accomplished either from the top of bank with a <br />watering truck or by pumping directly from the ponds, as allowed in a "limited license" <br />water right that the City of Eugene will be seeking with the Oregon vllater Resource <br />Department. The Contractarshallsubmit awatering schedule and method at pre <br />construction meeting for approval. Changes to water schedule during plant establishment <br />must be submitted 5 days prior to change of times. All watering schedules and changes to <br />schedules will detail date and time of day watering will occur. Contractor shall provide <br />contact information for persons responsible for watering, <br />fib} Tree Protection Removal. All rigid seedling protection tubing shall be removed from <br />trees between September 1 and October 31, 2010. It is the contractor's responsibility to <br />remove the tubes from the site and recycle or dispose of them at an appropriate facility. <br />The fencing protecting cottonwood seedlings shall remain in place. <br />~c} Weed Control. The contractor will be responsible for controlling the following weeds <br />within the project area: Armenian blackberry ~Rubus armenlacus}, Scotch broom ~Cytr'sus <br />scoparius},false brome ~Brachlpoa~lum sylva~iccrm}, and meadow knapweed ~Centaurea <br />pra~errsr`s},.Inspections for these species will take place at the same time as the planting <br />inspections in September of 2009 and 2010, <br />
