Upon the Agency's written notification, the Contractor shall repair and/or replace the <br />Sanitary, Storm, Culvert and Siphon Pipe Work with defects within 6 months of the <br />Agency's written notification. <br />00470.75 Contractor's Warranty <br />(Add) 00470.75 Contractor's Warranty - Furnish a Warranty for the Manholes, Catch Basins <br />and Inlets according to 00170.85(b), for a Warranty period of one year. The Warranty <br />period will start at the issuance of the Third Notification. <br />For purposes of the Warranty, the Manholes, Catch Basins and Inlets Work will be <br />deemed to have defects when: <br />• Joints are not secure and tight by visual examination; <br />• Manholes, Catch Basins and/or Inlets have visible breaks, holes or cracks and/or <br />are visibly leaking; <br />• Manholes, catch basins and/or inlets have settled or shifted; <br />• Pipes entering or leaving the manholes, catch basins and/or inlets have shifted; <br />• Grout has failed; <br />• Lids, grates and/or frames for either have warped, cracked, or broken; <br />• Upon placing a 12 foot straight edge over the center of the cover or box, there is <br />more than '/4 inch from the finish grade and cross section at any point along the <br />straightedge. <br />Upon the Agency's written notification, the Contractor will repair and replace the <br />Manholes, Catch Basins and Inlets Work with defects within 6 months of the Agency's <br />written notification. <br />00641.10 General <br />(Add) Aggregate Base shall be plant mixed. <br />The aggregate base shall have not more than 6% by weight passing the No. 200 sieve <br />when tested in accordance with ASTM C117 (wet sieve test). <br />00641.40 Preparation of the Foundation <br />(Add) No construction equipment shall be allowed on the unprotected subgrade. <br />The excavation shall be done with a hoe equipped with a smooth edged bucket. The <br />hoe shall not be allowed to travel on the excavated subgrade, no compaction shall be <br />performed on the subgrade and every effort shall be made to avoid disturbing the <br />subgrade soil. <br />After completing the excavation to the designated depth, notify Engineer for inspection <br />and approval of the subgrade before geotextile and backfill are placed.
