West Eugene Wetlands <br />Environmental Education Center <br />Public Involvement Scope of Work <br />March- December, 2007 <br />Public Involvement Planning <br />Purpose: <br />Coordinate public involvement with education and fundraising to maximize synergy <br />Design and conduct a transparent, inclusive, logical, and flexible plan that is clear to all <br />T'NT will meet with WREN, PARC (fundraising consultants) and the Master Planning Team to <br />refine the public involvement process. T'NT will assign resources to new areas and to address <br />holes identified through those discussions as follows: <br />Focus Groups <br />Purpose: <br />Expand the base of knowledge for design purposes <br />Expose and resolve issues relevant to the Building Project <br />Foster collaborations with agencies and individuals <br />Establish basis for recommendations fo Policy Team <br />Focus Groups will be conducted on Site Ecology, Transportation, Education, Interpretation, <br />Sustainability (Site and Building), and Accessibility. T'NT will assist by establishing a model for <br />agendas and facilitation on two Focus Groups: Site Ecology and Transportation. In addition, <br />T'NT will organize and facilitate the Accessibility Focus Group (Christian Watchie). T'NT will <br />attend the Education (Judith Castro) and Interpretation (Castro, Teninty, Watchie) Focus Groups <br />to make us more effective in other areas of work. After the completion of the Focus Groups, the <br />Planning Team will draft proposals for the Policy Team without T'NT participation, based on the <br />Focus Group input and the goals of the WREN education program. <br />Wetlands Month Outreach <br />WREN is doing several outreach events late April- early June. Imagine Graphics, WREN and <br />RBA will develop a booth that will be used on-going. The display should have the flexibility to <br />allow updates to the portion about the Building Project. T'NT will coordinate the development of a <br />questionnaire for use in these outreach events (see Questionnaire).
