The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) designed and is <br /> managing th~ project. Wildish Construction Co. is the general contractor. <br /> The oject includes widening Beltline to four lanes, building a bridge to take Beltline <br /> over Royal Avenue, extending Roosevelt Boulevard to the west, constructing and illuminating <br /> new bicycle- edestrian paths along Beltline and Roosevelt, installing new traffic signals, and <br /> landscaping. In the new configuration, Royal Avenue will not have access to Beltline. Motorists <br /> will be able access Beltline at the recently improved Barger interchange or at the intersection <br /> of Roosevelt and Beltline, which will be significantly improved this year. <br /> In th first phase of the current project, Roosevelt will be extended from Beltline to the <br /> existing sect~on of Roosevelt between Danebo and Terry streets. New traffic signals will be <br /> installed on Roosevelt at Beltline and at Danebo. This will provide an alternate route, including <br /> access to Beltline, once Royal Avenue is closed to access at Beltline. <br /> (more) <br /> <br />
