<br /> News Release -Neighbors Improve Willakenzie Playground <br /> August 23, 2000 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Other Neighborhood Matching Grants projects currently underway are the Downtown Concert <br /> series (held on the Broadway Plaza, Wednesdays and Fridays at 4:30 p.m. and Fridays at 11:30 a.m.), the <br /> South University Neighborhood historic designation application, and the restoration of the Hope Abbey <br /> Mausoleum in the Masonic Cemetery. <br /> In late summer and early fall, four additional projects will be completed. They include: <br /> landscaping and playground enhancements at Tugman Park, installation of a skateboard park at Spencer <br /> Butte Middle School, improvements to the garden beds at Washington Elementary School, and planting <br /> of 23 flower bulb beds along the Fern. Ridge bike path in west Eugene. <br /> The next deadline for submitting Neighborhood Matching Grants applications is October 13, <br /> 2000.
