r boil
I
i i
it
~ News Release, Water Wise Signs
July 6, 2001
Page 2
I
partnered with the 4J school district to include the new sports parks at Churchill, Cal Young and
Sheldon High', School.
While conserving water is one of the main purposes of Maxicom, it's also important to
apply adequa a water, not just for green lawns but also for safety. Ground surfaces at
appropriately moistened sports parks are softer and easier to fall on, reducing the risk of injury. In
areas with expansive soils, such as Tugman Park, where the ground tends to expand and contract,
sidewalks ar less prone to cracking if the lawns are irrigated. For more information about water
conservation 'n City parks, contact John Clark, Turf & Grounds Supervisor at 682-4800. To find
out more about ET watering guidelines in your yard or landscape call EWEB at 984-4706 or visit
www.eweb.oire and click on "All About Water".
i
i
ICI
