City of Eugene Contract 2005-00208-B <br />Amendment Eight <br />Exhibit A -Scope of Work <br />Amendment to Scope of Work CH2MHILL <br />Polk Street Outfall Water Qualify Improvements, <br />Project #3984 -Scope Amendment ~ . <br />PREPARED FoR: Terry Colvin/City of Eugene <br />PREPARED BY: Mark Anderson/CH2M HILL <br />DATE: August 2, 2008 <br />DESCRIPTION <br />As the designer, CH2M HILL can provide certain review services valuable to the success of <br />the project. It is expected that these services will be at the request of City staff, and variable <br />in nature. This amendment describes-the general-types of work and exclusions thatmay be <br />provided in a time and materials agreement to provide limited services during construction <br />of the project. CFi2M HILL will not be acting as Owner's agent, construction manager, <br />inspector, or field engineer for this project. <br />TASKS <br />Task 8. Amendment for Services During Construction (SDC} <br />GENERAL <br />CH2M HILL will provide limited Services during Construction (SDC) such as those defined <br />below. These SDC are intended to assist the Owner to administer the contract for <br />construction, monitor the performance of the construction Contractor, verify that the <br />Contractors work is insubstantial compliance with the contract documents, and assist the <br />Owner in responding to events that occur during the construction. These SDC are based <br />upon the understanding that the Owner contracted directly with the Contractor and the <br />Owner (or a designated agent) will be actively involved in the construction process to make <br />decisions, provide approvals, and perform other actions necessary for the completion of the <br />construction. <br />` CH2M HILL's SDC shall be provided on a time and materials basis, whereby the City may <br />request any of the services below, which are provided, with Owner approval, up to the <br />"maximum allowable compensation. No specific deliverables are authorized in this scope <br />of work, but maybe assigned and provided on an as-requested basis, by the Owner. It is <br />not anticipated that all the services described below will be provided within the <br />allowable compensation, which is a nominal allowance. Deviations from the anticipated <br />schedule or duration of construction may affect the scope of these SDC and CH2M HILL's <br />compensation for the SDC, and may require an adjustment to CH2M HILL's compensation. <br /> <br /> <br />
