AIRPORT ORGANIZATION <br /> Mahlon Sweet Field is owned by the City of Eugene and is operated under <br /> the following policy. <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> The City Council of the City of Eugene is responsible to the citizens <br /> of Eugene for the operation of Mahlon Sweet Field. They have the final <br /> responsibility for all decisions regarding financing, long range planning <br /> and establishing policy. <br /> AIRPORT COMMISSION <br /> The Airport Commission, acts in the capacity of an advisory body to the <br /> City Council and makes recommendations as outlined as the "Duties of the <br /> Airport Commission". <br /> CITY MANAGER <br /> The City Manager is responsible to the City Council for the operation and <br /> maintenance of Mahlon Sweet Field. Recommendations of the Airport Commission <br /> are submitted to the City Manager to be placed on the agenda for submission <br /> to the City Council. <br /> <br /> ,xr,,,~,~,r,,;,.~ AIRPORT MANAGER <br /> The Airport Manager is responsible to the City Manager for the safe, <br /> efficient and economical management and operation of Mahlon Sweet Field <br /> within the policy guides adopted by the City Counc~.l. The Airport Manager <br /> is the administrative officer of Mahlon Sweet Fief.and is responsible to <br /> the City Manager for such administration. The Airport Manager shall have <br /> the authority to take such action as may be necessary for the protection <br /> alld safeguarding of the public while present at the Airport and for regula- <br /> ing traffic on the Airport. The Airport Manager may suspend or restrict <br /> any or all operations deemed necessary in the interest of safety. These <br /> actions may be subject to the reveiw of the City Manager, Airport Commission <br /> and the City Council. <br /> -1- <br /> <br />
