~I <br /> I <br /> i <br /> <br /> i,„ operate the emergency pump controls in case of an emergency, <br /> stationed near the servicing vehicl.e.(in addition to the service- <br /> ' man on the wing of the aircraft) <br /> 'i (e) During fueling, the aircraf.'t and the dispensing apparatus shall <br /> be electrically banded and both shall be grounded to a point <br /> or points of •r..cro clectri.~~il potential. <br /> (f) Filler nozzles must be of a dead-man self-closing type and <br /> will be equipped with approved bonding connectors which shall <br /> be positively engaged with bonding attachments on the aircraft. <br /> All bonding acid grounding connections shall be made prior to any <br /> 's, fuel transfer and shall not be disconnected until transfer <br /> operations are completed. <br /> (g) Fueling hoses and defueli.ng equipment shall be maintained in a <br /> safe, sound, and non-leaking condition. <br /> (h) Fuel will not be transferred from one gasoline tank truck to <br /> another, within 100 feet of any building, open flame, sparking <br /> device, source of ignition, or group of people. <br /> 3. AIRCRAFT: <br /> (a) No aircraft shall be dueled or defueled while the engine is <br /> running or being warmed up by applications of exterior heat,or <br /> while such aircraft is in a hangar or enclosed area. <br /> (b) No person shall operate any radio transmitter or receiver or <br /> switch electrical appliances off or on in an aircraft, during <br /> fueling or defueling. <br /> {c) No person shall start the engine of any aircraft while the air- <br /> craft is in the hangar, or when there is any gasoline on the <br /> ground under, such aircraft. <br /> (d) No aircraft will be fueled or defueled when there are people <br /> aboard, unless, there is an attendent at the door and a passenger <br /> loading stand at the cabin door. <br /> 4. BULK PLANTS: <br /> (a) Under no circumstances will a tank motor vehicle be left un- <br /> attended at a bulk plant during the loading or unloading process. <br /> Loading and unloading shall not be considered complete until <br /> the delivery hose is detached from vehicle and tanks. <br /> (b) Every tank motor vehicle must have the tank grounded and the <br /> nozzle grounded before loading and unloading. <br /> (c) Persons or companies using any bulk plant are responsible for <br /> keeping yards free of weeds for a distance of three feet (3') <br /> outside the yard fences. Yards will be kept free of trash and <br /> other debris at all times. <br /> (d) Care will be taken in filling tanks at bulk plant to allow for <br /> heat expansion, and not filled to the point where they will <br /> overflow from heat expansion. <br /> (e) All loading platforms and fill nozzles will be equipped with <br /> proper grounding devices and flexible cables. <br /> ' -14- <br /> 'i <br /> <br />
