The cost per mite; of off-street
bicycle path is added to the cast. per mile for aff-meet bicycle palth lighting and the total is
divided by the population to derive a per person cost., Tb ~cc~nvert this to a p.n1. peak trip rate,
the costper person is divided by the trips per per~ason, to yield the cost, per trip.. There are two methods of calculation: the Standard Calculation or the Altemate
Calculation.
f~ 3 .1 Applicant's Election
Anytime pnor to the issuance of {the] a frequi~} permit ~~t~rin~g <;paymewtt .af
~'rartsp~~tation; ST:, an applicant may elect to use the Altemate Calculation method of
determining the trip generation for the type of development proposed. This election must be
by written application to the City Traffic Engineer, must be accompanied with payment or the
agreement to pay the transportation SDC using the Standard Calculation and must be approved
.
b the Traffic En ineer ~
. ,.t
d~tet~er;>~.~~..
~tR~.r:..:...;c
.
~;t
~ ti , : .~In the ~ abse ~
, . _~,.....~.,,,.,._:.:..,,::,~.,.,~.d.:,.,~',~~n.~. nce ofY~the City
}~~Traffic
Engineer's approval of the applicant's election to use an Altemate Calculation, the Standard
Calculation shall be used. If the proposed development is not
represented on Attachment 1, the City's Traffic Engineer will determine the rate.
Proposed Methodologies: City of Eugene SDCs (Effective March 01, 1997) Page C-9
