This is the first rate increase in six years. There was extensive <br /> review by the Airport Advisory Committee and surveys conducted by the Airport staff, as well as <br /> a jsurvey by a comparable airport in California. These rates are comparable to charges at similar <br /> size airports and less than current charges at the Portland Airport. <br /> These revenues are used for Airport operating expenses and maintenance of exiting Airport <br /> facilities and for the city share of construction of new facilities. Two parking lot expansion <br /> p$~ojects are planned in the current CIP. <br /> I~? summary, the fee for parking beginning July 1, 1997 will be <br /> $.85 per half-hour in the short term lot, an increase of $.10 <br /> $9.00 daily maximum in the short term lot, an increase of $1.50 <br /> • $.75 per hour in the long term lot, no increase <br /> • j $S.SO daily maximum in the long term lot, an increase of $.50 <br /> $33.00 weekly maximum in the long term lot, an increase of $8.00 <br /> 1`he administrative order was posted and published according to policy. Requests for additional <br /> information have been responded to and no comments were received regarding the notice of <br /> increased fees.
