Permit <br /> fees will be c Iculated by the City staff issuing the permit upon approval of the permit <br /> utilizing the fe schedule as set by administrative order of the City Manager. <br /> Because per it review and inspection activities can be more efficient far joint trench <br /> installations i volving multiple utilities in a common trench, a matrix of graduated permit <br /> fees is includ in the fee schedule. Using the permit fee matrix, the Utility Inspector shall <br /> determine the individual permit fee which most appropriately reflects the characteristics of <br /> the proposed ork. <br /> 2.D.4 Ex ira io <br /> Right-of-way ut permits shall be valid for a period not to exceed six months from the date <br /> of issue. Wo k may not be performed under an expired permit. Permit renewals shall <br /> follow the sa a process as that used for a new permit. <br /> 2.E EMER ENCY PERMITS <br /> A permit (i.e. fight-of--Way Cut, Public Improvement, Revocable) is required for all work <br /> <br /> err within the pu lic way. However, when emergency repairs of an existing facility are <br /> necessary, w rk may commence prior to the application for a permit. if this emergency <br /> occurs during the normal working hours of the Maintenance Division, immediate verbal <br /> notice to the titity Inspector, Maintenance Planning Manager or Maintenance Support <br /> Manager is re uired. <br /> In the case w ere emergency repairs are necessary outside the normal business hours of <br /> the Maintena ce Division, the Eugene Police Department (682-5111) should be notified <br /> if the work is ithin a street or alley and will necessitate a lane closure. If a representative <br /> of the Public orks Department is needed, upon request of the permittee, the Eugene <br /> Police Depa ment will notify the "on-call" supervisor of the Maintenance Division. For <br /> emergency r pairs which are likely to impact street trees, the Public Works Department <br /> must be notifi d and the Urban Forester consulted to determine impacts to public trees. <br /> Application fo an emergency permit shall be submitted no later than the next working day <br /> following the mergency repairs.
