EC 7.300 <br /> 2.A.1 A ro al and Issuance of Permit <br /> Upon complet on, of review and determination that the proposed work is appropriate, the <br /> <br /> City Engineer r designee shall approve the permit application. After approval, and upon <br /> receipt of the eq'uired fee, deposit, performance bond, and proof of contractor's license <br /> nd bond, the permit shall be issued. EC 7.295(4) <br /> .A.2 Notific ti n Re uired b the Cit <br /> he permittee shall notify the City Utility Inspector at least two (2) business days prior to <br /> ommencem nt of work within the public way. "Business day" means any 24-hour day <br /> ther than a at~rday, Sunday, or legal holiday. <br /> Placement of he notification through use of the Oregon Utility Notification Center will be <br /> cceptable if the notice is for the actual commencement of work,. not a notification <br /> requesting de ign information, and includes the proposed work location, type of proposed <br /> ork, starting ate, time, and the permittee's contact person's name and phone number. <br /> Franchised ut lities, EWEB, and City-licensed facility operators planning to install a new <br /> acility, or pe orm a major facility upgrade within the public way, greater than 400 linear <br /> eet, shall pr ide notice to the City and all other utilities and license holders who are <br /> licensed or fr nchised to provide services within the project area. The purpose of this <br /> notification is t encourage collocation of facilities and minimize impacts on the public way <br /> by providing her utilities and license holders an opportunity to install facilities in a joint <br /> tench or to co rdinate work along the same street segment. Notification timing and format <br /> <br /> wilt be determi ed by the initiating utility or licensee so long as the notification purpose and <br /> documen#atio requirements are met. <br /> 2.B ANN A~. PERMITS FOR MINOR RECURRING ACTIVITIES <br /> Franchised u ilities, EWEB, and City-licensed facility operators have the option of <br /> requesting an nnual "blanket" facilities permit for individual service line installations, minor <br /> repairs to exis ing facilities, routine maintenance functions and similar recurring activities. <br /> The written r quest for an annual permit shall be made to the Maintenance Planning <br /> Manager and hall contain the following information and stipulations: <br /> 1. Agree ent that 2-business-day advance notice shall be provided to the City for all <br /> work to be performed under the blanket permit (notification may be provided through <br /> use of he Oregon Utility Notification Center). <br /> Utility & R/W Per it Policy 7 02/09/98 <br /> <br />
