The past few inspection reports have detailed gradually <br /> <br /> ~wrv worsgnin decay in the pile caps and exterior stringers. The piles are also <br /> suffering f om decay and have Ineffectual temporary repairs in place. <br /> The i~spe for has determined that 100% of the exterior stringers and 50% of the <br /> timb r ca s are. in Condition State 4 (decay, insect infestation, splits, cracks or <br /> crus ;ing as produced loss of strength that affects the serviceability of the <br /> bridg a exterior stringers are reported to be completely rotten and timber <br /> borin~ rep rts indicate each of the three timber pile caps have 1-inch shells. <br /> These eie ents are in dire need of replacement. <br /> The timbe piles are in need of permanent, effective repair. <br /> The c~alcul lions behind the recommended posting detailed in the enclosed <br /> posting su mary sheet were made with the assumption that the suggested <br /> repairs an replacements are in effect.
