Specifically, Section 810.030 (1) of the Code states: "A road <br /> authority may impose restrictions described under this section on its own <br /> highways as ...necessary to (a) Protect any highway or section of highway <br /> from being unduly damaged. (b) Protect the interest and safety of the general <br /> public." 810.030 (2) states: "Restrictions that may be imposed ...include <br /> (b) Imposing limits on any weight of any vehicle or combination of vehicles. <br /> (c) Imposing any other restrictions that the road authority determines necessary to <br /> achieve the purpose of this section." <br /> (f) The efficient use of the public way by the public. <br /> ? The restrictions will require re-routing of vehicles with a gross weight of over <br /> five tons. This will affect LTD buses and some trucks, and thus will have an <br /> adverse effect on the use of the public way by the public. <br /> (g) The use of abutting property. <br /> ?
