EC 4.083(g), 4.084 <br /> 3.F MAI TENANCE OF ROADWAY DRAINAGE <br /> A permittee s all maintain all gutters, ditches, and other drainage features unobstructed and free of <br /> sediment, di and debris. For curb and guttered streets the gutters shall remain unobstructed for <br /> the full depth f the adjacent curb and for a width of at least one foot in width from the face of the <br /> curb at the gu er line. Whenever a valley gutter crosses an intersecting street, an adequate waterway <br /> shall be provi ed and at all times maintained. EC 7.307 (3) <br /> 3.G TE PORARY PATCHING AND PERMANENT RESTORATION <br /> The permittee shall not open more than 4001inear feet of trench without backfilling the trench the <br /> same workin day. The permittee shall be required to backfll and patch temporarily with asphalt <br /> concrete mate ial any excavation in a vehicle traffic lane, bike lane, sidewalk, or on a bike path the <br /> same day of e cavation and shall maintain the temporary patch until the final surface repair is placed. <br /> Temporary tr ch repair shall be maintained sufficiently to prevent settlement or an irregular surface. <br /> Where it is i practicable to backfili and complete temporary surface restoration the same day of <br /> trench openin ,the permittee may seek prior written approval of the Inspector to leave a trench open <br /> overnight. ith prior written approval the permittee may leave a maximum of 400 linear feet of <br /> trench open o ernight, provided the permittee establishes and maintains barriers and warning devices <br /> to protect op n trench zones. <br /> As soon as pr cticable, but in no case greater than 60 days after completion of the permit work and <br /> at permittee's expense, permanent pavement replacement within the public way shall be completed <br /> in accordant with City Standards by a qualified contractor or by the permittee if the Inspector agrees <br /> the permitte has the required resources and trained personnel If the permittee fails to make the <br /> permanent p ement repair within the time specified, the City may make the repair and charge the <br /> cost thereof t the permittee without prior notification.
