Special note will be made <br /> of any unusu 1 or unique conditions observed in the field. Specific items to note shall include: <br /> Land Gaping -Street and planting strip beautification is an area of great concern to the <br /> i Inspe tor. Any existing special landscaping will be documented. Upon completion of the <br /> i propo ed work, the landscaping shall be returned to a condition as near as possible to, if not <br /> better than that which existed before such work began. <br /> Trees -Overhead work may conflict with a tree's branches, and underground work with the <br /> tree's Dots. Trees are a valuable City resource and every effort shall be taken to avoid any <br /> dama e to a tree. The Urban Forester shall be notified and requested to comment whenever <br /> the pr posed work zone falls within the critical root zone of a street tree. Special conditions <br /> for tr e protection and damage prevention shall be noted on the permit application or <br /> assoc'ated plans. <br /> Exist'ng Utilities -Compare the drawings provided by Maintenance personnel to what can <br /> be vis ally located. Note any discrepancies and verify locations prior to the issuance of the <br /> permi . Discrepancies shall be reported to the Engineering Division personnel who will <br /> make the necessary corrections to existing records. <br /> Wher needed, the Inspector shall request the Transportation Division to locate traffic signal <br /> and it umination conduits. The Inspector will note any conflicts with the proposed work and <br /> wills ecify requirements for the applicant to coordinate resolution of such conflicts with the <br /> Trans ortation Division.
