ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER N0.58-O1-20 <br /> of the <br /> City of Eugene Airport Manager <br /> ES ABLISHING A LIMITATION ON THE NUMBER OF <br /> AI FORT TAXICAB OPERATOR PERMITS AND <br /> P OCEDURES FOR ISSUANCE OF PERMITS. <br /> The Airp rt Manager of the City of Eugene finds that: <br /> A. Se tion 8.3 of the Airport Rules authorizes the Airport Manager to limit the number <br /> o permits fora ound transportation activity based on the criteria contained in that section. <br /> B. I h ve reviewed the demand for taxi services at the Airport, and find that the ten <br /> ort Taxicab perator Permits currently in effect are sufficient to provide efficient and high <br /> q ality ground tr portation services to Airport patrons. <br /> C. I nd that it would be in the public interest, would prevent fiu-ther congestion on <br /> rport access ro ds and the ground transportation line, while continuing to provide consistent, <br /> r ' able, conveni t, and relatively inexpensive transportation service for Airport patrons, to establish <br /> t as the number of Airport Taxicab Operator Permits that may be issued and effective at any one <br /> ti e. <br /> Now, the efore, the Airport Manager of the City of Eugene Orders that <br /> 1. Li i ation on Permits. Based on the above findings, the maximum number of <br /> 'rport Taxicab perator Permits that maybe issued and in effect at any one time is ten. <br /> 2. A 1 cation Period. The Airport Manager shall accept applications for Airport <br /> icab Operato Permits annually between January 1S1 and January 315`. If an opening occurs that <br /> r suits in fewer t an ten current Airport Taxicab Operator Permits, the Airport Manager may accept <br /> a plications at time during the year and may choose to fill the opening based on the criteria in <br /> ection 5 of this rder. At least 30 days prior to the commencement of the application period, the <br /> 'rport Manager shall cause a notice to be provided to current permit holders and other public <br /> senger vehicl companies, and published in the Register Guard, advising that annual applications <br /> ay be submitte ,and the time and manner in which to do so.
