NOTICE OF INTENDED RULEMAKING <br /> PROPOSED ADOPTION OF STANDARDS FOR GEOLOGICAL AND <br /> GEOTECHNICAL ANALYSIS ADMINISTRATIVE RULE R-9.6710. <br /> NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the authority contained in Sections 2.019 <br /> and 9.6710 of the Eugene Code,1971, the City Manager pro tem of the City of Eugene, intends to <br /> adopt Standards for Geological and Geotechnical Analysis Administrative Rule R-9.6710 that: <br /> Sets forth the investigation and report content necessary for prepazation of a <br /> geological and geotechnical analysis that ensures that for planning review and approval, <br /> public and private facilities in developments in areas of known or potential unstable soil <br /> conditions are located, designed, and constructed in a manner that provides for the public <br /> health, safety and welfare. <br /> The proposed rules are necessary to ensure the orderly implementation of provisions of <br /> Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971 that require submission of a geological and geotechnical <br /> analysis, and may be reviewed at the office of the Engineering Development.Review Manager, <br /> Public Works Department, 858 Peazl Street, Eugene, Oregon 97401 during normal business hours <br /> (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays). <br /> All persons wishing to comment thereon or object thereto must submit their comments or <br /> objections to the Engineering Development Review Manager, Public Works Department, 858 Peazl <br /> Street, Eugene, Oregon 97401, in writing, within thirty (30) days of the date of the first publication <br /> hereof, as indicated below.
