Similar <br /> provisions fo imposition of an equivalent assessment for street improvements are set forth in the <br /> Code. <br /> Provisions o the Eugene Code also provide that when a local improvement has been constructed <br /> and an equiv lent assessment is to be imposed, the City Engineer will establish the equivalent <br /> assessment r to based on the actual cost of the improvement when it was constructed, plus an <br /> indexing fac r to bring the historic costs up to date. <br /> The adminis ative order provides for a methodology to index the original construction costs by <br /> the Construc ion Cost Index (CCI) as published by the professional journal Engineering News <br /> Record (E Rates are proposed to be adjusted annually on or about April 1, using the <br /> methodolo <br /> For addition 1 information on the proposed indexing of equivalent assessment rates contact me at <br /> 682-5243. <br /> <br />
