Because The Home Depot has a skilled
volunteer force, they are able to support communities in ways that many companies cannot. Home Depot
says, "The Community of Eugene has mode a commitment to refurbish the Golden Gardens Ponds...by
upgrading the Golden Gardens Ponds more people will enjoy the park and help keep a mindful eye on the
children of the community."
This volunteer event is being followed next week by a public workshop to discuss park improvements for
Golden Gardens. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, June 13'h, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at
Shasta Middle School. The workshop will be the first in a series of public workshops to be held
throughout the summer. Results of these workshops will help guide the implementation of projects in the
near-term, and also help to create along-term vision for Golden Gardens Park.
