In addition; hundreds of community members volunteer <br /> through the Friends of Hendricks Park to help remove invasive species such a blackberry and <br /> plant natives. <br /> The Mission of the Friends of Hendricks Park is to gain recognition of Hendricks Park <br /> as a premier forested urban park in the Pacific Northwest by providing stewardship for <br /> management of the park, assisting with implementation of the Forest Management <br /> Plan, educating the public about this valuable natural resource, and generating a , <br /> broad base'of community support for the park. <br /> <br />
