If sufficient funding is <br /> not available, other, less effective survey types maybe <br /> considered. <br /> 39 Salmon festival Organize first annual festival as a half day event, probably in Dropped $6,000 - $12,000 special events DEMI, running <br /> Alton Baker Park or Skinner Butte Park, with food, music, organizations, <br /> speakers, salmon poster contest, etc. to bring the community staff time schools, <br /> together to celebrate the river and the salmon in it. Start small conservation <br /> and grow over time like the Sandy River Salmon Festival. groups, private <br /> Would be a significant undertaking, requiring partnering. sponsors <br /> Would include: <br /> - "salmon migration" foot race with salmon t-shirts, prizes etc. <br /> -sahnon art show (poster contest finalists) <br /> -music and food booths in late afternoon after race <br /> <br />
